“HD video recording for under $200 bucks? Apparently. DXG’s DXG-569V HD Camcorder ($170) records real HD (up to 1280 x 720) at 30 fps, letting even the poorest college students record co-ed debauchery in pristine, 16:9 quality.”

Poor quality online video is but a relic of the past.

“I will also look into taking legal action for the fraudulent service charges I received. In addition, I have a very popular blog that I will post my story to, as well as every conceivable web platform known to man.” Zab Judah.

“@ Arrington: Hey, everybody has been expecting the grand roll-up ever since you hired Heather. I don’t see it happening. And, without a roll-up, you have a niche Valley site with some 3% of the traffic of Gawker or Weblogs Inc. Good luck with that!” Nerdfight: Valleywag emeritus offers unsolicited advice

“If you think about it, those prices are very reasonable — but Google has the guts to do even better. Potentially much better. If Google opened this up as a free service, imagine the impact that would have.”

Google to launch BigTable this week?

Amazon Web Services has become a significant driver of innovation and production. Since AWS is a web service, I would argue that it might be the most important advancement of Web 2.0. Amazon’s execution has been outstanding (minor downtime issues aside); the people involved with supporting AWS are top notch.

And Google is of course a modern day legend for its proprietary infrastructure.

So, the idea of the two titans colliding, in a critical area, on even grounds, is really exciting for everyone else in the web ecosphere.

“What’s that you say? You’d like to switch seats with me to be closer to your kids on this flight? You and your wife are on your honeymoon and want to know if I’ll swap so you can sit together? Well, let’s see, how can I make this clear: Go fuck yourself. I booked this flight online, chose my seat, and printed a boarding pass at home. Now you want me to sacrifice my own comfort just because you couldn’t get your shit together? Not a chance. Go ahead, let your baby cry – I’m too many rows ahead to give a damn.” Aaron Karo’s Ruminations Issue #131: Travel Bugs
