"With Jason Terry in hand, it made all kinds of sense for Boston to re-sign Ray Allen and then trade him once he was eligible at midseason, to some unknown destination for more help in the frontcourt. Obviously Allen needn’t worry about this in Miami, where his outside shooting prowess will be desperately welcomed, particularly if Mike Miller is forced to sit out or retire. And oh my goodness will he be dangerous in Miami. The Heat can spot him up in the corners and force opponents into impossible decisions between stopping a LeBron drive or conceding an Allen 3; if you thought the Heat drove Oklahoma City batty with their floor-spacing in the Finals, you ain’t seen nothing yet."
